Introduction on Some of the Techniques Used to Make Towels.

Today, I’ll give you a brief introduction to some of the techniques used to make towels.

1. Cut Pile Towel Processing

Cut pile towels are essentially ordinary towels whose surface loops have been cut, resulting in a smooth, even pile. Cut pile towels can be cut on both sides or on just one side, leaving the other side still covered in loops. Cut pile towels are characterized by their softness and exceptional comfort. For example, some techniques, such as printing after cutting, are preferred, adding a decorative touch to the towel and elevating the product’s quality.

For example, for beach towels with printed patterns or large logos, outdoor surfing ponchos, or printed household towels, can the cut pile process smoothen the edges and achieve a full-print effect?

2. Untwisted Yarn Processing

This spinning method uses a binder instead of twisting to bind the yarn strands together. During the yarn-forming process, the strands are given a false twist, which unwinds into an untwisted yarn. Gift towels made from untwisted yarn have a pleasant, soft feel and excellent water absorption. Untwisted yarn towels have excellent loft, feeling thicker and softer than conventionally woven towels. While weighing the same, they are not as durable as conventionally twisted yarn towels.

3. High Terry Process

High terry products are made by lengthening the individual loops to one or more times the length of regular terry during processing to increase the thickness of the finished product. Because the extended loops lie flat on the surface, they also provide increased softness. Excellent water absorption is a hallmark of high terry products.

4. Satin Cuff Towel Process

This is a highly decorative towel fabric. A satin patterned stripe is woven into the loops at each end of the towel, near the plain weave, to enhance the fabric’s aesthetic. The pattern can be formed from either warp or weft floats. This cuffing technique adds a decorative touch to the towel and can also be used to jacquard the customer’s logo or pattern.

5 Jacquard Weaving Technology

Jacquard weaving, also known as patterned weaving or large-scale patterned weaving, is a type of fabric woven on a jacquard loom using yarns of varying weaves, colors, or materials. These fabrics feature complex structures, intricate and varied patterns, and can have a large repeat. The fiber materials, yarn counts, weaves, and warp and weft densities used vary widely. The design and weaving process for these products is complex, and a wide variety of fabrics are available, with silk being the most common. These fabrics can be used for decorative items, bedding, and clothing. The jacquard technique is also used on towels and bath towels used in hotels. This technique allows for direct display of the client’s logo, is durable and washable, and can accommodate large logos.

6. Yarn-dyed Weaving

Yarn-dyed weaving involves weaving two or more colors of yarn directly into a custom design. This technique is generally suitable for designs with vibrant colors. Besides showcasing the client’s design, it also maintains the towel’s double-sided terry feel, offering excellent absorbency and softness. This technique generally requires a higher minimum order quantity because the yarn must be dyed in the appropriate color and the machine must be configured.

These are some of the more common towel crafts that we encounter in our daily lives. Huaian Good Life Textile Co., Ltd. has been making towel products for many years, such as hotel towel bathrobes, sports towels, outdoor beach towels, surf towels, etc. If you have any needs or are interested in the craftsmanship of a particular towel, please contact us and discuss. Notes on using towels

Small towels should also be used scientifically.

(1) Dedicated to one person, dedicated to one towel. In recent years, my country’s towel industry has developed rapidly. The categories and grades of products are complete, and the varieties of patterns and colors are rich. There are square towels, face towels, bath towels, napkins, tea towels, kitchen towels, etc. In addition, there are children’s towels, adult towels, women’s beauty towels, etc., which can meet the various needs of different consumption levels. According to my country’s national conditions, the minimum standard for the number of towels used by consumers should be two (pieces) for men and three (pieces) for women. It is recommended that men use three (pieces) and women use four (pieces).

(2) Wash and dry them correctly and disinfect them regularly. When washing your face or taking a bath, you should first rinse with shower gel and clean water, and then wipe dry with a dry towel. This can reduce the adhesion of human dirt to the towel. Towels should be cleaned in time after use, and boiled in boiling water for 10 minutes every week for disinfection. The hanging place should be ventilated, and it is best to dry them in time or in the sun.

(3) Replace them in time. Replacing towels in time is the key to changing traditional consumer misunderstandings. The service life of towels is generally three months.

(4) Special treatment. The hardening of towels is mainly caused by the combination of free calcium and magnesium ions in the water with soap, forming calcium-magnesium soap that adheres to the towels. The accumulation of dirt residue for a long time is also a cause of hardening. To soften it, add 30 grams of soda ash or appropriate softener to 1.5 kilograms of water and boil for 10 minutes. If the towel becomes greasy, it can be washed with salt water.
