How to Make A Wrap Towel after Showering

Have you ever gotten out of the shower and wanted to continue getting ready without immediately getting dressed? Well, making a towel wrap allows you to do just that. A wrap towel gives you the freedom to do other activities while drying yourself off and staying covered. Making a towel wrap is easy; all it requires is a towel and some practice in holding the towel tightly against your body.

1. Dry yourself. After bathing, wipe very wet areas of your body with a towel and dry yourself quickly. These areas include, but are not limited to, hair, torso, and arms. You want to be moderately dry before wrapping your body in a towel so you can be active and move around without water getting everywhere.

2. Choose your towel. Use a bath towel that is large enough to completely cover and wrap your body. A standard size towel should fit most people, but for larger people you may want to consider a larger towel or beach towel. Women will most likely want to use a towel that is long enough to cover from their upper chest to their lower body. their mid-thighs. Men may prefer to use a towel long enough to cover the area from waist to knees.

3. Place towels. Hold the towel horizontally and grasp the top corners with your left and right hands. Place the towel behind you and wrap it around your back. The ends of the towel should now be in front of you, while the middle part of the towel is pressed against your back.Women should place the towel high on their back, so the horizontal top edge of the towel is at armpit level. Men should place the towel low on their waist, so the horizontal upper edge of the towel is above their armpits and their hips.

4. Wrap the towel around your body. Using your left or right hand (it doesn’t matter which hand you use), pass one corner of the towel across the front of your body to the other side. For example, pull the left corner of the towel from the front of your body to the right side. Make sure the towel is pulled tightly across your body. Use your hands to hold this corner in place. Then, while your hand is holding the first corner of the towel, bring the other corner of the towel from the front of your body to the other side. For women, this wrap will sit across your chest, above your breasts, and parallel to your body. For men, this wrap will go across your waist, parallel to your hips.

5. Secure towel wrap. After moving both corners to the other side of the body, tuck the second corner into the top horizontal edge of the towel wrap so that the corner is between the body and the towel. Try to tuck enough of the corners of the towel in so the towel is more secure. The tighter the original towel package, the stronger the towel package will be. Consider twisting the second corner and tucking the twisted portion into the top edge of the towel. This twisted part further secures the towel. If your towel keeps falling apart, consider using a safety pin to tuck one corner of the towel tightly and hold it in place.
